China and the World: To the More Sophisticated Integration

Abstract: Economic globalization is the basic trend in the world economic and social development as well as one of the important characteristics of the contemporary world economy. Economic globalization is a "double-edged sword" for every country, especially for China as economic globalization provides a chance for it to enjoy the opportunities and face the challenges. After China's accession to WTO, cooperation and friction has become the main theme of China's relationship with the world. Various kinds of trade protectionism, trade frictions, exchange rate issues, and punitive tariffs against China appeared frequently in recent years, and trade frictions showed an upward trend. However, this will not change the overall trend of an increasingly close relationship between China and the world at the economic level. Under the background of the changing world pattern, China should abandon the defense doctrine in terms of the national defense strategy, and take the active defense strategy.
